Marriages at Lymm, 1568 - 1812

Lymm was a double mediety at the time of the Doomsday Book, in which the place is described as having two Lords, each of whom had a priest and half a church.

This double rectory continued until 1880, when the parish was divided.  The second mediety was always held with the neighbouring rectory of Warburton. The divided parishes are known as the rectories of Lymm and Oughtrington, the Rectors still dividing the tithes,

The following marriages have been transcribed by Miss F Hatton and Miss Innes and are now printed by leave of the Rev. G.B. Thurston M.A. Rector of Lymm.
