Fustian workshop
This is just one of around 25 such fustian cutting workshops that were built all over the village in the 19th century. The workshop - open plan, was across the top storey to catch most light. Such buildings were usually accessed by an outside staircase. This photograph was taken shortly before demolition. The small building in the distance on the right is now the Co-op (2018).
