The bridge carries the former turnpike road (Church Road) over the outfall and spillway from Lymm Dam. It is made of ashlar buff sandstone with a masonry spillway. The cascade spillway feeds a natural waterfall into the precipitous, wooded Dingle. The Bridge was widened in the 20th century.
