Statham Flower Show

Victorian England saw the gradual emergence of new, club based leisure activities.  One of the most popular was gardening clubs.  Lymm Cottage Garden Club held its first ever show in the newly built parochial schoolrooms on Pepper Street in 1866.  This photograph is much later as it is the opening of the 1936 Statham Flower Show.
