May Queen Procession

Although this image may be a little blurred, showing Sharon Sargent, its subject matter is important. This photograph was taken at the bottom of Pepper Street with the building on the right being the fire station until it had been replaced by the one next to the new council offices.  The cottages housed fustian cutting  workshops on the the top storey.
