1913, Lymm May Festival

A postcard of local coal merchant George Walker with the Grace Darling float at Lymm May Queen Festival, 1913.

Sadly, George died at the end of the First World War. He was an ambulance driver and had returned to France to collect bodies to go into the war graves cemeteries. He died at the end of June 1919 of septicaemia in a Field hospital in France.
