Lymm Hall

Lymm Hall, originally Elizabethan, (artist unknown), appears to have captured the Hall in its core during its Georgian period.  However, the tower in the distance, right is located where St Mary's would be but bears little resemblance to the likely appearance of the church at that time.  Nevertheless, the painting provides a unique view of the whole site and shows off the moated area well.  These were for ornamental purposes only, being very fashionable at the time.
