Dog Cottage

Mrs Park, donor of this photograph recalls that 'the Kays' lived here when the boys were young, maybe 1890s to 1910ish. The house was alongside the canal where they learned to swim.

The family were evicted for some unknown reason and the family moved to 71, Yew Tree Terrace, Rushgreen where 'Bin' (Isobel Kay) was born. Mrs Park is the niece of Isobel Kay and who lived to be 103.

There was a shop off the picture to the right, where Joseph's mother, Grandma Horsefield, had a sort of General Store, right next to the canal but is no longer there now.
