Lymm Hotel and Lymm Railway Station from the air
Aerial photograph of Lymm Railway Station and the Lymm Hotel, formerly known as The Plough and Railway Hotel. Lymm Railway Station was opened in 1853 and closed to passengers in 1962. However the line still carried freight until 1985 when it was finally closed. In 2001 the Trans-Pennine Trail which follows the track bed, opened.
