Victorian rush bearing painting (January 2018)
VICTORIAN RUSHBEARING BROUGHT TO LIFE.
It is one of Lymm's most famous traditions and in the second half of the 19th century it was depicted by an unknown artist in a fantastic painting which is packed full of smaller stories. The artist was describing a scene from decades earlier so some of the buildings maybe are not too accurate!
We have this and many other videos like it available to watch at the Centre, all helping tell Lymm's story.
