Listed Lymm

Listing marks a building's special architectural and historic interest.  It can include a variety of structures, not just buildings.  Scheduled monuments are different.  They are nationally important sites of historic and archaeological interest and don’t necessarily include buildings or structures.  In both cases, they are protected by laws that aim to ensure they can be handed on, essentially unchanged, to future generations.

There are 57 entries for Lymm Parish in the Historic England register.  Please note that most of these sites, buildings and structures are private property that cannot be entered without the owner’s permission.  Many, however, can be seen from public roads or footpaths.  Go and have a look!
