Lymm Cross

This wonderful photograph shows three little sisters from a family of ten, raised in a house in 'Bulls Head' Terrace, named Leah.   They are the family of Doris Bonnar, nee Dawson, whose mother, Dora, is one of the children.  Doris's  grandmother was also called Dora Leah.

One of the ten children, Joe Leah, also played for Newton Heath, Football Club.  The girls are playing on the road, about 100 yards from their front door - there was no traffic to worry about!
