Mill Manager's House

May Queen procession passing The Lower Dam. The house in the background is the managers house for the Corn Mill situated where the Sunken Garden is now.  On the right is Tom Wheeler's, the florist and greengrocer.

Watching from the upstairs window are John and Amy Gater. The shop below was Mercer’s Butchers and around the back was Bill Stanley’s barber shop. Amy Gater was the daughter of Bill Stanley.
