Lymm Hall, old coloured engraving
The 1851 census shows Warrington solicitor, Thomas Barratt, in residence. He must have been very successful in his profession. He lived there with his wife, five children and five servants.
On the day of the census they also had three house guests including John Barrett, a corn merchant (possibly his brother) who brought his own servants with him.
This engraving is almost certain Thomas and his wife surveying their domain.
