Warburton Cross

As announced September 2025, the village of Warburton and 1800 acres of land have passed into CWS ownership.  The village lies on the Mersey on the Lancashire border halfway between Manchester and Warrington. Its old church, partly half timbered is one of the three remaining black-and-white churches in Cheshire. The estate has been acquired more with an eye to future developments than for the present. This photograph take in January is made summer-like by the surrounding evergreens.
