A VILLAGE's earliest inhabitant could stride back into the spotlight as part of plans to redevelop a former supermarket .
The footprint of chirotherium - a dinosaur which roamed near Lymm 280 million years ago I currently gathering dust underneath a staircase at the village's council chambers .

But it could make a comeback to become the centrepiece of a new retail, tea - shop and conservatory complex .
Al Midani Ltd revamping the former Co - op building in Rectory Lane , and are on the lookout for local treasures which highlight Lymm's historic past .
They have the backing of the parish council who met with officials from the firm to find out what was in store for the empty building which had become run down and an " eyesore " .
Property co-oedinator Peter Meir said: "We intend to display the artefacts as part our development which we are going to call The Stocks , after the medieval stocks in the village ".
Councillor Sheila Woodyatt said the parish council were in discussion with developers over basing a new Lymm information centre in the building and they had offered to provide a home for the dinosaur footprint.
"The idea of the centre is not just to have information for visitors but leaflets and advice for everybody in the village. The local citizens advice . bureaux could also be based there but it is all still under discussion. It is going to be a good venture for Lymm we hope".
Planners have already given the go ahead for the development .
