John Parry and Ann Scales

Parry's Garage was such a well known family business, serving the local community for more than fifty years, closing in March 2014.   Lymm Life (March 2014) reported how 'The Parry Family' had moved into Rushgreen Service Station at Lymm in April 1965 with a haulage business, developing it over 49 years.

John Parry here with sister Ann Scales,  had been the faces of the business for many years and witnessed many changes within that time.  Ann said,  “We went Self Service in the mid 1980s and have always given personal service. We have served the local community and been a community hub for information and assistance.”  John also added, “In 1965, 1 gallon of petrol was 4s 10 1/2d – Now it’s £6.00 a Gallon!”
