Druid regalia
The Ancient Order of Druids was a fraternal organisation founded in London in 1781 that spread quickly though the country. The link with the original Druidic movement is vague to say the least. However, the Oughtrington Group styled themselves on the Grand Order of Modern Druids.
These societies offered a blend of social bonding, mutual support for those in need and in some cases, charitable giving.
