Doris Taylor outside her granny's
My cousin Doris Taylor outside her granny's cottage on Top Lane. The three cottages opposite The Crown were demolished to create parking for St Winefride’s Catholic Church and only The Presbytery on left remains.
Doris’s dad, My uncle Jimmy was the first Lymm volunteer to be wounded and invalided out of the army in World War 1. The stretcher bearer that came to his aid was his brother Harry Brooke’s, whose letters can be read on this archive.
