A Red Letter Day ... ! (June 2017)

THE OFFICIAL OPENING DAY ... A RED LETTER DAY !


We were proud to welcome our Patron, Terry Waite CBE to perform the official opening of the Heritage Centre on Wednesday 27th June 2017.   By the time the ceremony was performed we had actually already received over 1,750 visitors since we first opened our doors on June 22nd to coincide with the start of Lymm Festival.

Wendy Platt, wife of our landlord Howard Platt, Alan Williams, Chair of the Heritage Centre Group, Cllr Les Morgan, Mayor of Warrington, Paul Adams of Walton Cycle Museum who haD lent us almost all the cycle exhibits. Terry Waite CBE, our Patron who is holding a print of an 1840s watercolour presented to him by the group. The original is in the care of the Heritage Centre.
