Lymm Signal Box
Neville Thomas, signalman at the door of Lymm signal box, looking westwards. The Station Master's house can be seen in the background. Behind this would have been Lymm Railway Station which was derelict at the time of this photo. Neville was born in Maesteg, in south Wales, but moved to Lymm with his family of five sisters and one brother in the 1930s. They lived in Hawthorne Road next door to another signalman, whose surname was Bates.
